HP xw8600; 2xQC 3.0GHz; 8GB's RAM, FX 1800; Win 7 Pro x64, QT 7.7; nVidia 275.89, Matrox Utils 6.1.0.100.
The driver appears to be loaded as the Matrox capture utility works. I can see incoming SDI.
However, in the Avid Capture Tools, 1394 is the only option, and under Tools, Video Input & Video Output are MIA.

Hi Randall,
Thank you for your detailed feedback.
In Matrox X-info tab, is the Hardware Information available?
Are there any unknown devices in Device Manager?
What version of Avid MC6 are you running? If you run latest Avid MC6 updates (ie MC6.0.1 or 6.0.1.1), make sure to uninstall Matrox software first, run Avid updates and then reinstall Matrox 6.1 software.
When installing the Matrox drivers, please follow these steps to unblock the exe file and disable UAC:
- uninstall the current MXO2 drivers
- download and right-click the Mtx.utils exe file and select Properties. Under the General tab, click unblock (at the bottom) if it is seen.
- Make sure the UAC option is turned off (set to Never Notify in Windows 7 settings) before running the MXO2 setup * may need to reboot
To disable UAC option or set it to Never Notify in Windows 7, please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975787
- Run Mtx.utils setup and then make sure a full reboot and power cycle is performed (after install is complete, shutdown PC, disconnect MXO2 Mini power for several seconds, reconnect power of MXO2 and then power up the PC)
- re-enable UAC option if needed
We await your feedback. _________________ Regards,
Sam

- I'm at work, so 'll check this when I get home, but as I recall, no.
- We're running MC v6.0.1.1. I can't recall which was installed first, MC or Matrox.
uninstall the current MXO2 drivers
- This was a first time install. I typically run with UAC off.
When installing the Matrox drivers .....
- I'll do this when I get home. |

Matrox X-information (green M icon) is on your task bar at the bottom right hand corner. You can right-click on it and open for additional System and Hardware information.
Please let us know your results after re-installation procedure. _________________ Regards,
