I suspect that I have missed something somewhere, but I cannot find the answer to this question.
Has the problem with MAX exports over 3GB crashing Encore been resolved with the new versions of Encore and Matrox drivers? |

Haven't seen any info on that one yet. Not a peep.
There has got to be someone who has done the upgrade who could test and/or comment.

LOL. I'm hoping to upgrade to CS6 in two to three weeks time. Could always find out then.
Surely there must be somebody else who has upgraded to CS6 and can test this one.

Thanks, Andrew.
Surely someone in Matrox must know? The problem is not mentioned in the Release Notes, and one section does mention using MAX generated files with Encore - unstated version, but one should assume CS6. |

Hi Alan,
The 3GB MAX Blu-Ray file limit issue should be resolved with latest Encore CS6 release.
Please let us know if you encounter any issues. _________________ Regards,

Thanks, Sam.
I am holding off upgrading to CS6 until I am sure that the Encore issue is resolved.
As I am happy with the performance of CS.5 with the new drivers, there would be no point upgrading if this is still an issue. Particularly as I would lose the real-time Matrox colour correction, which I prefer to the Adobe Colour correctors. |

Thank you for your feedback. Various tests were performed in house and Encore CS6 seemed to import the files well.
Please let us know your feedback once you upgrade to CS6. _________________ Regards,

Thanks, Sam,
all is well now. I can import a 45 minute h.264 created using CS5.5 and it operates perfectly. I have not had time yet to create a MAX file using the new software and drivers, but I am sure there will be no problem.
Now to see if Adobe have delivered on their promise of working Blu-ray Chapter Play lists with CS6! |
