Hello,
While reconfiguring my edit suite, I accidentally (stupidly) plugged the wrong power adapter into the Matrox MXO. The adapter was 12V 2A - not the 5V 3A adapter shipped with the device.
The blue light immediately started blinking and I pulled the cord out, realising my mistake. Now, when I plug in the correct adapter, the blue light goes on but my computer will not recognise the device.
Can this be fixed?
Thanks in advance. |

Sorry for missing your post. Have you replaced the MXO hardware (MXO unit and/or power supply) through your point-of-purchase.
It's difficult to say what damage was caused. If the blue light comes on and you have the USB cable connected to your MAC, you should see a 'MXO by Matrox' device listed in the USB section of the system profiler. Please let me know if you see this entry.
Otherwise, we would recommend an RMA (exchange). I've created a tech support case for this issue. The number is 102251. Please mention this number if you call in for support.
I await your feedback. _________________ Regards,
Joe
