Hi,

The Scrub and Pause setting "Both fields" has no effect, when i scrub or pause it's always in one field. Is that normal? Using Composite out from MXO2 Mini.

Thanks

David

Hi David,

Can you confirm your FCP X and MXO2 Mini driver versions?
Are you running a trial version of FCP X?

The setting seems to be working fine in house. Can you confirm your FCP X Output format setting in MXO2 Preferences pane?

What is your clip settings used for the Fields test?

Please let us know your results.

Hi again,

I'm using FCPX 10.0.4 full version downloaded from appstore, with your latest fcpx driver 3.0.1.0012.

My sequence settings are 1080p25 (progressive footage) and i'm downscaling to SD with Letterbox setting. I'm watching the composite on an JVC TM1500 CRT Broadcast Monitor.

When i play the sequence it look fine, but when i pause or scrub i'm only seeing one field with jagged edges.

Hi,

Can you confirm your FCP X Output format setting in MXO2 Preferences pane > FCP X tab?

What is the Video Output settings in MXO2 Preferences for Main Channel format?

The output format setting in fcpx is Matrox MXO2 1920x1080 @25

Active Analog output: Composite and S-Video
Set main channel format to: Follow application

Analog Output: SD Channel
HDMI Output: Main Channel

16:9 to SD aspect ratio: Letterbox

The FCP X output format takes precedence for the output, therefore, you may be outputting progressive format.
In MXO2 Preferences, try setting the FCP X output format to PAL 25i or 1080i25 and verify if the Scrub and Pause takes effect.

Glad to hear it is working. The Scrub and Pause settings take effect when you are outputting in interlaced modes. Therefore, you can toggle between 1st, 2nd and Both Fields. With Progressive format, you are outputting full frames, not fields, therefore, this Scrub/Pause setting does not apply.
