Matrox Ventura Playback will not open ProRes 4444 movie

Hi
I'm trying to open a short film I've just completed. The graded export is Apple Pro Res4444 1920x1080 25fps. The error message says file type not supported.

Its odd because I can play out via FCP fine but then I guess there might be some sort of realtime transcoding going on.

Should I be able to play ProRes4444 via Ventura PLayback?

I don't do Mac, but I have a feeling that Vetura is for the playback of captured h264 files on the Mac.

But bear in mind that I'm a PC person and don't really know much on the Mac side.

Here is the latest update regarding your inquiry. Apple ProRes 4444 codec is not supported through Vetura Playback.
