Running Avid 6.1 and then launching Photoshop seemed to kill my big Avid import. Is that right? Did Photoshop hijack the MX02 LE away from Avid?
If so how can I stop that happening?
Cheers

Hi,
To confirm, what Avid MC6 and MXO2 driver version are you running? Avid 6.0 or 6.0.1?
Please note this is a documented issue available in our Release Notes:
http://www.matrox.com/video/media/pdf/support/windows/mxo2/doc/en_Matrox_MXO2_Release_Notes_6_0.pdf
| Quote: | You may experience issues when running Avid Media Composer at the same
time as another application that uses your Matrox MXO2 hardware, such as
a Matrox WYSIWYG plug-in or Matrox A/V Tools. Therefore, it's
recommended that you always quit Avid Media Composer before starting
any other application that uses your MXO2 hardware. (Ref# VPG-1270) |
Hope this information is helpful. _________________ Regards,

This happened booting Photoshop CS5 64bit I think - does that look to Matrox - it seemed to take 15" to boot rather than the usual 3" - was it searching for Matrox?
I'm running 6.0.1 with Matrox 6.0.0.73
Thanks for the quick response and link |

Yes, MXO2 installs WYSIWYG plug-ins to certain 3rd-party supported applications such as After Effects and Photoshop. See page 192 of the User Guide: http://www.matrox.com/video/media/pdf/support/windows/mxo2/doc/en_Matrox_MXO2_Installation_and_User_Guide_6_0.pdf
| Quote: | You can preview video played back using the following applications that are
supported by the Matrox WYSIWYG plug-ins:
? Adobe After Effects.
? Adobe Photoshop.
? Autodesk 3ds Max.
? Autodesk Combustion.
? eyeon Fusion.
? NewTek LightWave 3D. |
Hope this helps. _________________ Regards,
