I have been told by Telestream to contact Matrox support team regarding my issue



I am using a PANASONIC SD900 video camera

I have the camera connected to a MATROX MXO2 Mini MAX using HDMI cable

I have installed TELESTREAM Wirecast and Screenflow
I am using a Mac Pro with OS Lion

Settings on the video camera: recording in 1080p



PROBLEM: When I open Wirecast or Screenflow I cannot see any image (live feed) coming from the camera

Hi,

Thank you for posting the screenshots.

Firstly, I see you have installed the Matrox 3.0 driver. As mentioned in our download page, this software supports Avid Media Composer v6.0 only. Therefore, please uninstall Matrox 3.0 using the uninstaller located in Applications -> Matrox MXO2 Utilities

Then, download and install Matrox driver 2.3.3.0016. Install it on your Lion 10.7.1 or 10.7.2 OSX operating system (if your osx version is not at least 10.7.1, then run a 'software update' to upgrade).

Then, verify your version of Telestream Wirecast. We support Telestream Wirecast 4.1. What is your complete software version?

I notice you have selected to scale your video source signal. Is there a purpose for scaling the 1080p video to SD? If not, then un-select the checkbox for the 'scale input for capture' setting in the A/V Input section of the Matrox app.

You mention that your camera records in 1080p. What does it output? Some cameras will record 1080p but output 1080i. So we need to know exactly which format the camera outputs and the frame rate. Let me know this info once available.

Next, all you have to do is launch Wirecast and follow the detailed steps on page 93 of the user guide for driver 2.3.3.

You should then be able to see your video in Wirecast and also through the outputs of the MXO2 (if you have a supported monitor connected).

Let me know if you need additional help.
