Hi.
My problem is, AVID crashes conatsntly with Matrox MXO2 mini.
If i disabled the Matrox box, everything works perfect.
When i connect it, it don't.
No error messages, it just hangs, and then shuts down.
The system worked fine, before we moved it to another location. I'm sure it's some hardware problem.
The software hasse'nt changed, and we have more identical machines, running the same setup, without a problem.
I've also tried with another Matrox Box.
Hardware info:
Mac Pro 2.8 Ghz
8 Gb Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Software:
OS X 10.6.8
AVID MC 5.5.2.
Matrox driver 2.2.1

What happened when you tried one of the other MXO2 Mini's on this system with the crash? Did it also crash?
Do you see the options in the Matrox application (in system preferences)? In other words, is the MXO2 Mini being properly detected before even loading an application?
If all fails, I would suggest remove Matrox 2.2.1 and installing any other version that performs a firmware update. You can try to go back to 2.0 and then remove 2.0 and go back to 2.2.1 or even just use 2.2.3.
Please do check all cables and connections. I would suggest completely removing the Matrox hardware and then reconnecting everything making sure the PCI adapter is secure and that the host cable is connected in the proper orientation (B side goes up).
Please update the thread once you are ready. _________________ Regards,

I'm running a Matrox MX02 Mini version 2.2.3 on Media Composer 5.5.2.1 on MacOSX 10.6.7.
I'm also getting a lot of crashes. It's the only system I'm running on a Matrox so I can't test it on another system.
I saw in a forum that disabling fast scrub might help.
Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
