Hi,
Will the MXO2 LE allow you to make a faster transcode from AMA linked r3d footage to Avid DNxHD MXF in Media Composer 5?
Phil.

Hello Phil and thank you for your interest in Matrox products. The only product that we have that works with Avid MC5 is the Matrox MXO2 mini: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/mac/mxo2_family/mxo2_mini/for_avid/

Also Linking clips via AMA is strictly an action taken on by the Avid software, the MXO2 Mini works on monitoring the project. Although if are on a MAC, you would be able to take advantage of the MAX feature (if you purchase the MAX version http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/mac/max/), you will be able to export, using the Matrox MAX h.264 codec and encode the video for serveral things such as moblie devices, and do it in faster time than software alone.

regards,
