I would think so. I'm looking at using them to convert the 3 outputs to HD-SDI. Here's hoping the quality is comparable to the ImagePro HD. The good news for me is that all I want to do is a straight pixel to pixel conversion with no scaling.

Hi Vlado, we are in the final stages of our testing phase. we don't foresee any compatibility issue with TripleHead2Go and we will be giving additional information of any incompatibilities on release date. Please monitor our public site and this forum thread for updated information on known issues and recommendations.
Mark, are you planning to convert all 3 outputs from your TH2G to HD-SDI simultaneously?
For additional questions, you can reply to this forum or contact the customer care via telephone :

Well, I was just curious, because i have tried many 3rd party vendors and only Gefen worked with th2go.
It would be nice if you could run a test with the pre-production unit of Convert DVI.
Thanks,
Vlado |

Hi, we apologize for the delay in replying to this thread. For the moment we do not have additional information with regards to compatibility with DualHead2Go or Triplhead2Go. We assure you that this is being looked into internally and that additional information will be posted along with our official driver release.

Yes we are. We actually just received a demo unit this week and are happy with the results; the only thing I noticed (which may have just been the way I was viewing the results) was that small black text over white had some color fringing; but that is not an issue for our use as we will never have text like that on screen.
The way we tested was from a MacPro running Windows via Fusion; out the second DVI port on the GPU into the ConvertDVI, then into a AJA IoHD; both genlocked via a GEN10 at 1080i59.94.
A way to rack 3 side by side would be very helpful also.
The only other concern I have is the unit does get fairly warm -- is this normal?

Hi mark,
Thanks for the feedback. Regarding your first issue, can you be more specific as to what output you are referring and can you provide a screen shot?
As for your second issue; Matrox's X.info program provides temperature monitoring and warnings if temperature of your ConvertDVI exceeds the maximum operating temperature. You can open Matrox X.info to display system and hardware details by double-clicking the -M- icon on the your Windows taskbar. What is the temperature of your ConvertDVI?
I hope this information helped.

|
|
Hi,
I am currently having a lot of issues trying to get an image. I would really appreciate any feedback and thoughts. This is my current setup:
iMac 20" (older white model) running Leopard.
Mini DVI to DVI converter --> DVI input into Triplehead2Go (digital)
3x DVI outputs from Triplehead2go into DVI Input on Blackmagic DVI Extender
HD-SDI output from blackmagic into Panasonic Vision Mixer (in 720p/50Hz mode).
I have run many different setups and configurations to try and eliminate the problem, but I have narrowed it down to the relationship between the Triplehead2Go and the blackmagic DVI extender.
If I bypass the blackmagic box, I get an image.
If I bypass the tripehead2go, I get an image.
I have tried many different resolutions within Matrox PowerDesk, but with no success. The iMac detects the blackmagic plugged through it's software "Blackmagic Converter Utility".
I am really stuck and fast approaching a deadline with a conference starting in 2 days. I would really appreciate any thoughts you might have that would fix this issue.
Matrox Triplehead2Go Firmware: 2.3.40
Can, this be updated, and if so, how?
Many thanks!!

Hi all,
I found the answer to my problem, so I just thought I would share in the hope that anyone else with this problem won't have to spend as much time hunting for an answer as I did.
The Matrox Triplehead2Go (digital) requires an EDID (extended display identification data) packet sent by the DDC (display data channel) protocol for it to work. The EDID packet provides the Matrox information about what type of monitor it is connecting to |

Not sure why that got cut off. Here it is again:
