Hello,
It seems like a number of vendors are dropping support for the ExpressCard/34 ports on their high-end laptops. This includes Dell, Sony and Apple (on at least some of their offerings.) I currently use an Axio LE but am looking to a future purchase of an MXO. I know that MXOs can interface to laptops via ExpressCard/34. Will there be another way to interface them with a laptop thru some other way? Thanks!

Hello Tim and thank you for your interest in Matrox products. It is usually the high end laptops that have the expresscard/34 port but if you are having difficulty finding one the Matrox MXO is a great resource for the Mac. You do not need the expresscard/34 slot, you just need a display card with a secondary DVI-I or Mini DisplayPort connector. Must be able to display 1920x1200 at 60 Hz. A Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter is required for Mini DisplayPort display cards.
regards,
JD
