Hi,

I just bought a Matrox Axio LE and I have a problem with selecting the case. I want a full tower but I don't know which one has the holder for the card. I have seen a few towers but they leave the card hanging and I wouldn't like to leave the card hanging. Does anyone has a rig with the Axio LE that uses a full tower?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Thank you

Hi Carlos, you can try using the Antec Titan 550 or the SLK1650B. Both of these chassis can accommodate the full-length PCI Express (PCIe) card.

For your information; the dimensions of the Axio LE card are:

- Nominal card dimensions: Card 12.2" x 4.2"
- Card including bracket: 13.875" x 4.9"
- Overall thickness including components 0.75"

Best regards,
B.C.

Hi B.C.,

Thanks for the input.I checked those motherboards and the certainly can accommodate the Axio LE but I was looking for a case that also holds the other side of the matrox for not letting it hanging. On this motherboard you told me they don't seem to have anything to hold the other side of the card. Do yo have any other suggestion? Any full tower that you know it has that feature?

Thank you again for your help

Carlos

The other side of the card (the black bracket) is not a big concern. I've seen cases where customers unscrew this plastic part just to make the card fit in their chassis. The card will be well secured if just placed in the PCI-e slot.

Thanks,
B.C.
