|
|
Hello dear Matrox,
Our system of work:
.- WORK STATION 8600HP
.- Windows 7 64 bit
.- ADOBE PREMIERE CS5.5.2; AFTER FX CS5.5.2; ENCORE CS5
.- AXIO LE, AXIO_UTILS 5.1.2
WE HAVE THIS PROBLEMS:
1._ Can't watch the output of the Matrox files in After Effects CS 5.5 with a TV monitor as in previous versions.
2._ Render speed of Matrox Avi with Media Encoder in Adobe Premiere is very slow.
3._ Adobe Encore will not open properly as it begins to transcodificacion and hangs.
4._ M-JPEG files created with our old Matrox Full Digisuite can't be used on Adobe Premiere CS5.5 ( we can see them with CS4 suite)
We installed the same version of Premiere CS 5.5 in another machine that does not have the Matrox LE and it works correctly, the renders are faster and we don't have any problem with Encore.
We are working with Matrox cards for more than 10 years because you are keeping the compatibility with every update, we need to feel that our inversions are save and durable on time.
Please can you give us solutions,
Thank you,
Alvaro Coronas

Hi,
The Axio 5.1.2 drivers does not support Adobe CS5.5 software. The Axio drivers only support Adobe CS5.0 (ie. Premiere 5.0.3).
Please also note the following features were removed with the introduction of Adobe CS5 software: http://www.matrox.com/video/media/pdf/support/axio/doc/en_Matrox_Axio_Release_Notes_50.pdf
| Quote: | Removal of previously supported features
With this new release, it was necessary to remove some of the features that we
supported in previous releases. Here are the main features that are no longer
available:
- The Matrox Flex GPU effects have been removed. This long-standing staple
of our NLE products could not be reliably integrated into the Adobe
Premiere Pro CS5 software architecture. Unfortunately, we were unable to
effectively "share" the GPU resources with the Adobe Mercury Playback
Engine to guarantee a reliable implementation, and therefore decided to
eliminate the Matrox Flex GPU effects.
- Support for MXF files is now provided using native Adobe Premiere Pro file
reading and export capabilities, which includes support for P2 and XDCAM
formats. For details on the supported MXF formats, see your Adobe
Premiere Pro documentation.
- The Matrox AVI format is no longer available for capturing DV or HDV
material natively over the 1394 interface. Instead, you can use the native
Adobe Premiere Pro DV or HDV capture format. To export your sequence to
a DV-1394 device other than DVCPRO HD, you must copy or import your
Matrox sequence into a native Adobe Premiere Pro sequence.
- Hardware accelerated exports are no longer supported. To export to a Matrox
AVI file, you can perform a VFW export by selecting the Microsoft AVI
export format, and then selecting any of the available Matrox VFW codecs
for your export.
- Although multi-camera previewing is supported on Matrox Axio, the option
to show only the active camera on your video monitor is no longer available.
- Because of enhanced features and performance provided with Adobe CS5
and 64-bit Windows, the Matrox EZ-MXF, EZ-HDV AVI, and TGA to AVI
conversion utilities are less useful and have been removed.
- The Matrox Offline HD codec is no longer supported for capture or export.
Instead, you can use the Matrox MPEG-2 I-frame HD codec at a low data
rate to create offline HD clips. The Matrox Offline HD codec, however, is
supported for playback of legacy Matrox Axio offline HD projects.

Hope this information is clear and helpful. _________________ Regards,

|

Hi Sam,
We understand the present situation, but we wonder if Matrox is working for Matrox AXIO LE support with suite Adobe Production Premium CS5.5 for the near future.
Will it be possible that we can use a TV monitor with Matrox AXIO LE and After Effects CS 5.5 as we can do in previous versions?
Are you telling us we have to buy a Nvidia to use Mercury Playback and we have to stop using the LE with After Effects CS 5.5?
Thanks, |

Unfortunately, there are no current plans to support Adobe CS5.5 with AXIO LE drivers. However, our next generation of video editing products, MXO2 product family, does provide support for Adobe CS5.5. For more information regarding MXO2, see our Product page here: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/
The last Axio 5.1.2 release only provides WYSIWYG support for Adobe After Effects, version 5.0 to CS5. You can use Adobe After Effects CS5 version and run the Matrox Axio 5.1.2 drivers for WYSIWYG TV output.
Hope this information is helpful. _________________ Regards,
