Hi, we have to plan a new system to use a Axio HD (version with 2x PCI-X). Additionally there is a fibre-channel hostadapter with PCI-X, so we need 3x PCI-X.
Could you please have a look - the following configuration is planned:
SuperMicro - X8DAE Rev.2.00 Board max 192GB SATA 1 Stk
SuperMicro - CSE-743TQ-865B-SQ Rev. K Tower 865W 1 Stk
Intel - BX80614E5620 XEON? QC 2.4GHz 12MB 1 Stk
SuperMicro - SNK-P0035AP4 akt. CPU-cooler,Silent 1 Stk
ATP - AL56M72B8BJH9S 2GB DDR3 1333 MHz ECC reg. 3 Stk
Western Digital - WD1002FBYS-RE3 1.0 TB SATA 32MB 1 Stk
Matrox - graphic card - M9140-E512LAF
We found the X7DAE in the compatility pages listet. Is the X8DAE even compatible?
Thanks a lot for you answer and many greetings

Hello,
Matrox is no longer validating motherboards or graphic cards for the Axio and RTX2 product lines as was announced on our Axio and RTX2 forums on March 16, 2010, the original announcement can be found at this link. Unfortunately we cannot comment on the compatability of the Supermicro X8DAE motherboard with our Axio HD product since we do not have this motherboard in-house.
We recommend that you post your inquiry on the General Discussion section of the Axio forum so that other users may be able to see the post and perhaps provide feedback of their experience with this particular motherboard.
regards,

Michael,
I'm using a similar board (Supermicro X8DA6) with 3 x PCI-X slots & 2 x Xenon 5550.
All works fine.
