Post subject: CS3.2 on Windows 7
Many thanks for your reply B.C. .
Just to report some experience with Matrox Axio LE.
Asus P5E WS Pro motherboard.
Intel Q6600 Quad core clocked at 2.9Ghz.
Windows XP Pro 32bit
Nvidia GTX 280 1GB Gfx card
4GB DDR2 ram
4 * 750Gb Samsung F1 SATA drives on Win XP Dynamic disk, Raid 0 set up.
Matrox Axio LE.
Adobe Premier Pro CS3.2, Encore CS3, Soundbooth CS3.
850 Watt power supply.
Bella Pro 3.0 keyboard.
Just recently completed a 58min documentary edited in Matrox HDV with approx 1000 assets. I used various image sequences generated with Lightwave 3D 9.6 in the project, and was even able to edit whilst Lightwave rendered in the background on the same machine ( awesome.).
. The timeline included lots of Adobe Premier titles, various effects and several tracks of video and audio. The whole experience was very very pleasing and I can only remember two or three software hangs during the whole edit ( probably due to running too many progs running ) which again was also awesome.
So once again, with such a good experience I would love to continue using CS 3.2 and also enjoy the look and feel of Windows 7 if possible. I will probably wait now for Premier CS5 to appear before upgrading as it's now probably due out in the first half of next year and I'll wait to see if there are as many bugs with that one. Otherwise I will have to keep a dual boot set up with Win XP on one drive and Win 7 on another.
N.B. forgot to mention that I also keep Ashampoo Antivirus running and have had no problems with that either. ( not recommended I know, but it worked! )

Post subject: Win7
Hi, I have been successfully using my Matrox Axio LE with Premier CS3.2 for over a year now with very few problems. I have just Purchased Windows 7 and would like to continue using Premier CS 3.2 as I don't want to enter that world of hurt associated with CS 4. The problem is that Matrox tools 4.1 is for Premier CS 4 only and Matrox tools 3.6 will only work with vista or XP Pro. Can we have a Win 7 32 bit version of Matrox tools 3.6 please or some kind of work around.
PS. I notice that the Black Magic drivers support both CS3 and CS4.

At least that is assuming that to date (almost 3 months later) there is a fair chance that W7 will be supported very soon after it's release I hope?
Any update on this?
I trust you guys know how many of us videographers are realy very eagerly awaiting W7 to get rid of Vista which in my opinion is indeed "one of the lesser succesfull products" as MS states itself..

Since Windows 7 is far along in it's development, is Matrox doing anything to prepare for this new OS?
